It has been a gorgeous fall so far in New York City. The sky is the prettiest blue during the day and painted the most gorgeous colors of the year at sunset. This week we ventured out to Riverside Park at the golden hour on one of the 65 degree sunny days and played with backlighting. This was about 20 minutes before sunset. The haze and the outline of the sun around her face is typical of a backlit shot. It's a struggle and I haven't perfected it yet, but it's one of my favorite techniques to practice. Here is my take:
